I haven't drawn in sooo long. Really, I don't know why I stopped, other than frustration. I was sick and tired of not having anything very interesting to draw, not knowing how to color and not wanting to endure the learning process, and thinking that everything I drew was crap. Either way, I was amazed to see a bag full of old sketches that my mother brought to my house today. They covered such an array of rejected projects that I decided to sort them out and try to organize them a bit, just for the sake of nostalgia. I see that immediately after high school I started getting ideas for different comics I could try making. They all turned into unfinished design projects. It seems that I was much more into designing the back-stories and the artwork than the stories themselves. So here is a list of the different stories that I dreamed up, began to illustrate, and rediscovered today in my goody bag:

1. The Bug Story:
This came from a writing exercise which starred a warmongering tribe of butterflies and their heinous, toady enemies. This is the only one with which I had more fun with the writing as opposed to the drawing.

2. The Angel One:
I could never think of an interesting story concept for this one, I just learned that there's a lot of interesting mythology to the angels, and I began to illustrate various ideas. Too bad I could never think of an interesting hook.

3. The Dream World:
This is another fun one that I spent a lot of time on. Basically a bunch of old-world style demi-gods and their adventures through a dreamscape world.

4. The Space Colonists Meet a Bunch of Demons:
This one just rewrote the book of Genesis as a piece of science fiction, complete with demons and talking non-hominids. Then a bunch of people--far into the future--land on the planet which was once Eden. And there's "demons" still living there. The story focused on a small group of militia-types and a pair of "demons" that they buddied up with.
